Our History

A crowd of people on a party.

June 2014, Reading

Where it all began. A farmers field, a steel-framed geodome, and a bunch of friends. We partied until sunrise on the summer solstice. Little did we know what we'd started...

September 2014, Reading

The first year of the inflatable dome. Our own little world. We grew that year, booking Sean McCabe alongside loads of local talent. We all looked a little more fresh-faced back then too.

June 2015, Reading

We booked Atjazz and Julian Gomes, alongside loads of local DJ talent. They brought serious energy and a fresh sound to the Beat Bunker that year. The music was evolving, but we still had the soulful sound we started with.

June 2016, Reading

The year that disaster struck. Days before the event was due to take place, we discovered that our beloved inflatable and it's truss work had been stolen. We had no choice but to cancel the event, wondering if it would ever happen again. The dome was later recovered, but the truss work was never to be seen again.

June 2017, Malvern

Set in the rolling Malvern Hills, this one had a special energy. We had a giant geodome, booked Sean McCabe and Malachi, and kicked things off with a Friday night acid house party (well, at least the dress code was). Still one of the standout editions.

June 2018, Malvern

We returned to our beautiful new home in Malvern, for one of the hottest Beat Bunkers on record. Groove Assassin headlined, alongside some plenty of other recognisable names like The Journey Men, DJ Schooly, and Pat Bedeau.

June 2019, Malvern

We were excited to be having Rocco grace the decks, until his flight got cancelled – but Martin from Get Down Edits kept us entertained.

Unbeknownst to us, this would be our final year in Malvern. Little did we know what 2020 would have in store for not only us, but the entire world.

September 2024, Bodium

It was our 10th anniversary and the first one back after a long break. A new venue that did not dissapoint, We didn’t book a headliner. Instead, we brought a lineup packed with local talent with diverse styles.

July 2025, Bodium

We returned to Bodium for our biggest event yet. The legendary Grant Nelson graced the decks on Saturday night for a 2-hour set that was full of bangers, and a surprise silent disco allowed us to extend the musical proceedings until 1am.
