You brought the heat

That's a wrap on Beat Bunker 2026. From the 17th to the 19th of July the sun did not let up, absolutely scorching every single day, and we're still coming down from it.

A small admission first. This post has taken a little longer to write than we planned. We gave ourselves a bit of downtime once the field was clear, and we're back in the office today, ready to go.

Catching up on your feedback in the WhatsApp group and everything you've shared online has been the best welcome back. Seeing the friendships you've made with each other, and all the positive vibes flying around out there, made writing this easy.

So, from the top. The story started a day early. We opened the gates on Thursday this year, an extra night of camping included in the price, and we expected a handful of early birds. Almost half of you turned up that first day. You rolled in, pitched up and made a proper evening of it.

Thursday was also the first time anyone had seen the new site layout, and we were a little nervous about that one. We needn't have been. You explored it, settled straight into it and just went with it. Your openness to change set the tone for the weekend.

So when Friday morning came around, there was no slow start. You were up, fed and ready, and by midday the whole field was flying.

From there the music carried it. We took a chance on some new DJs this year, alongside familiar faces, and every one of them poured everything into their set. The passion people bring to the booth and the dance floor is what this whole house music scene is all about, and it never dipped all weekend.

And through it all, you treated the place and the people who live around it with respect. It means everything to us.

Saturday night you took it up another level. So many of you arrived in full theme, got right in the groove and properly let yourselves go. That willingness to dress up and lose yourselves for a night is the spirit this weekend is built on.

Then there was the bar. From what we've heard, it hit the spot: cold drinks, quick service and lovely faces behind it. We did our best to keep prices down too, with the staple drinks at £5 a pint.

This year felt special in a quieter way too. So many new faces in the field, and some of you travelled from right up and down the country to be there with us. It was brilliant to see and chat to you, and we appreciate every one of you.

And then there's everything behind the scenes. The crew and volunteers who arrived early to help build it. The people who got in touch out of the blue asking to lend a hand. The ones who were still there after the last tune, packing down with us. You didn't have to do any of that, and you did.

Even the clear-up looked after itself. The rubbish left behind was pretty much non-existent. You all used the designated areas. Respect.

The photo on this page says it better than we can. Not everyone made it into the frame, but it sums the whole thing up: people who arrived as strangers and left, within days, as friends.

Put it all together and it felt like a real community festival. You made it that.

We would really love to do this all again. And that comes down to your appetite for it. Watch this space.
